Whitewater kayaking and river rafting

The perfect day to build your team spirit! Everybody has a fun and challenging day.

First we travel about 150 kilometres east of Helsinki, close to the city of Kotka. Here awaits River Kymi with its rapids. We split into to groups for the activities.

Group 1

The first group begins the day with whitewater rafting on the river Kymi. We drive from the Pernoo rapids to Aholan Lomalaidun, where we dress up for our adventure. We paddle 12 kilometres and go with the flow. The river runs through wild nature with exciting rapids every now and then. The best rapids are saved for last as we tackle the Pernoo rapids. This gets your adreneline pumping and is a great way to end the trip.

The rafting trip includes:

- Qualified raftguide
- All necessary equipment: mandatory helmet and lifejacket, rain clothing if necessaryK
- Nice rapids and beautiful nature

Group 2

Our other group gears up with wetsuits and all the whitewater kayaking equipment. We start of to practice the basics of whitewater kayaking. First we get used to the kayaks and practice the basic techniques on flatwater. From flatwater we continue to moving water, where everything is a bit more challenging. You have a good change of fliping your kayak and taking a refreshing swim. This doesn’t matter and it’s part of the sport. Everything is done with safety in mind at all times. In the end we practice running rapids and we have enough challenges for everyone.

Included in whitewater kayaking:

- Qualified kayak guides
- We learn the fundamentals of whitewater kayaking
- Kayaks, sprayskirts and paddles
- All the necessary gear
- A fun day with the group
- A DVD from our whitewater day

Both activies take about three hours. We recommend a lunch break in between th activities. We would be happy to organize this for you. It is also possible to have dinner and enjoy a Finnish sauna after our day.
